In the Northern Cape Province lies a small agricultural town known as Garies.
It is situated in the Namaqualand district where it is about 100 kilometres form Springbok. The town also lies at the foot of the Kamiesberg Mountain and boasts an almost arid and desert charm. Garies is mostly known for the Letterklip provincial heritage site situated on the western parts of the town. The site comprises megalithic boulders that carry the names of the early Namakwa travellers.
Garies is home to several of fauna species and a day can be spending discovering all kinds of unique flowers. The flowers produce beautiful hues and a cheerful charm that will leave you in awe. The Namaqualand Flower Trail Run starts in Garies and several visitors enjoy spectating the event during their stay.
Although accommodation in Garies is limited, one can still enjoy the spoils of a tented cape, a hotel and self-catering accommodation. Garies accommodation is the perfect base to take a break en-route to Namibia or simply enjoy a weekend away.

What a beautiful Lodge, excellent service (5 star), location is one of the best in this country. We received outstanding service from a team that exceeded every need we had as a family.
