The Madikwe Game Reserve is located in the North West Province, and is one of the lesser known parks, even though it’s one of the best in terms of the all round habitation and naturally occurring animal species. The park is near the town of Groot Marico and extends to the Kalahari, close to the Botswana border. The terrain is made up of open grasslands and bushveld plains.

The North West province is a fairly undiscovered area as the main attraction is Sun City. The province though has a big appeal due to the wide open spaces that can be found there. The natural setting is beautiful and the Magaliesberg Mountain range has to be seen, as it’s one of the most impressive in the country.
