Zimbali Chalets Description
The Zimbali Chalets offer luxurious, spacious and private accommodation within a pristine natural indigenous coastal forest setting. Located within the heart of the forest estate section of the internationally acclaimed Zimbali Coastal Resort, these residences are perfect getaways for weary travelers, busy executives or families wanting a tranquil, secure and naturally beautiful environment in which to de-stress, rejuvenate mind and body and to connect with each other. Every chalet is fully equipped and includes a four-seater golf cart for use throughout the estate. DSTV and braai facilities are provided as standard. As part of the “Sawubona” residential development within Zimbali, guests have access to a private swimming pool within the complex of 21 homes, in addition to the general Zimbali resort swimming pools. Types of accommodation: A total of eight chalets are available for rental. Two types of chalets are available: 1. A Five-sleeper Chalet (2 large bedrooms with a smaller single third bedroom with two full bathrooms) 2. A Six-sleeper Chalet (3 large bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms) Apart from the difference to the third bedroom, the remainder of the five- or six-sleeper chalets is similar. Every chalet comes with a spacious single lock-up garage if required for the storage of a vehicle of sporting equipment.

Guests have full access to all the amenities of the Zimbali Coastal Resort which include golf at the championship Tom Weiskopf designed 18 hole par 72 golf course, tennis courts, the ever popular Zimbali horse riding facility, walking and nature trails, Zimbali Valley of the Pools and the magnificent golden beach which separates the warm Indian Ocean from the resort’s lush indigenous coastal forest. The Zimbali Chalets are located 25km north of Umhlanga Rocks and the Gateway mega shopping and entertainment centre which forms the commercial hub of the greater Durban area. This offers convenience and accessibility to Zimbali Chalet guests for both business and entertainment opportunities. Zimbali borders the popular holiday town of Ballito, which provides convenience shopping, medical facilities and a range of restaurants. Travelers can use the Zimbali Chalets as a base to explore the remarkable wonders of the KwaZulu-Natal province – the world heritage sites of the majestic uKhahlamba (meaning Barrier of Spears) Drakensberg Mountains or the sublime St Lucia wetlands. The fascinating historic Anglo Zulu battlefields are within easy reach. Some of the country’s finest, malaria free, big five game viewing experiences are located a mere two-hour drive from the Zimbali Coastal Resort. Zimbali Chalets Directions
Directions from Durban International Airport Take N2 North Coast and continue North to Stanger. Go through one tollgate (Tongaat Plaza). About 5kms after tollgate, take Ballito/Compensation Rd off-ramp. At top of the off-ramp, turn right towards Ballito passing through the first traffic circle and turning right at the second traffic circle onto the M4 highway to Durban. Drive approximately 1km back towards Durban, taking the Zimbali Coastal Resort turnoff on the left-hand side. Welcome pack with access discs to be collected from "Zimbali Welcome Centre" situated on right hand side just before the Zimbali North Gate. From Virginia Airport OR Durban Take M4 travelling North towards Ballito. From Durban you will pass La Lucia, Umhlanga Rocks, La Mercy, Desainager, Tongaat and Westbrook. Zimbali Coastal Resort is located 4km north of Westbrook Beach. The first access gate is the Zimbali South Gate for use by residents and registered guests. Continue past this gate to the Zimbali North Gate closer to Ballito. The Zimbali Welcome Centre is located opposite the Zimbali North Gate.
