Cottages Cottage interior Three (3) farm style cottages (situated about 50 meters from the river) These are called Bergzicht, Welgeleë and Citrus. Bergzicht and Welgelee are semi-detached and both have one bedroom with a double bed and two single beds in the living area. Both these cottages have an indoor and outdoor braai area, as well as a lovely and spacious veranda. These cottages accommodate 4 persons each. Citrus has 1 double bed and 2 single beds (not in separate rooms) and a little cottage at the back with 1 double bed and a bathroom. This cottage can accommodate 6 persons. The cottage has a fireplace, an outside braai area and a nice-sized veranda for entertaining. Four (4) cottages on the hill (situated about 300 meters from the river with panoramic views of the Riviersonderend mountain range) These cottages are called the Uitsig Cottages Each of the Uitsig cottages has a living room, two bedrooms (one with a double bed, one with two single beds), a separate bathroom and indoor as well as outdoor braai facilities. The cottages have a communal plunge pool. Tented Accommodation Luxury Tents Six (6) tents (situated on the banks of the Sonderend river) Four of these come with a queen size bed and 2 with 2 single beds, all with en suite bathrooms. Other features include a bar refrigerator, coffee making facilities, heater or fan, a comfortably sized veranda overlooking the river and a braai area. There is a fully equipped communal kitchen with an indoor braai area for guests staying in the tents. Oewerzicht provides bedding, towels, a crate of firewood (R20 per crate if you need extra) as well as a “braai” grid. Please bring your own food, swimming towels and fire lighters

Experience a getaway without compare The Sonderend river that runs through Oewerzicht farm is the focal point of most leisure activities, i.e. swimming, fishing (blue gill or bass, on a catch release basis), tractor tubing, canoeing, etc. The farm has a couple of hiking trails and is also ideal for mountain biking, bird watching and more. One of the features of the farm is the suspension bridge over the Riviersonderend river – this is the only way, other than a boat or float, guests can get from the main farm area to the luxury tents on the banks of the river.

Travel on the N2 towards Caledon. Turn left at the Greyton/Genadendal sign (about 2 km before you get to Caledon) onto the R406 Follow the R406 for about 30 km to Greyton. In Greyton, turn right at the second stop street into DS Botha St Travel down the street (cross two stop streets) until the tar road becomes a dirt road, straight out of Greyton on the Riviersonderend Road. Turn right about 1 km outside of Greyton, at the Krige/N2 turnoff. Carry on straight for about 3.8 km, cross the bridge at the caravan park and where the road forks, keep left. From here it is another 5 km to Oewerzicht Farm. Reception is to your right – follow the signs.
