Lobelia Cottage Description
PLEASE NOTE THERE IS A MINIMUM OF 2 NIGHTS STAY ================================================== Our Bluff self catering cottage which is family orientated is nestled in a quiet cul de sac over looking the Durban Harbour. This comfortable self catering cottage caters for the medium budget travellers and comprises of 2 separate bedrooms each fitted with 3 single beds, a bathroom with corner bath,toilet and shower, and a fully fitted kitchen. DSTV, private braai facility, and secure parking. It offers easy access to a wide selection of recreational and shopping options and is an easy 30 minute drive from King Shaka international Airport and the centre of Durban.We are within walking distance to one of the several shopping centres with a wide variety of stores to choose from. We are also 500m from the closest bus stop to go into Durban Central if you do not have a car. We are about 3 km from the local beach Ansteys, and Shark nets make it safe for bathing . A paddling pool for babies and another for toddlers, while the beach is not far for Dad. Life Guards are on duty all the year round. During July if you are lucky you can witness the "sardine run" and the dolphins swim by quite regularly. Slightly further down the road is Brighton Beach where there is a paddling pool for small children, with slides. There is also a tidal pool (a man made pool in the sea) ,the waves come crashing over which is fun at High tide. Life guards are on duty for surfers and swimmers alike . For those avid horse racing fans, Clairwood & Greyville Race Courses are not too far where you can have a good meal and enjoy a day or night of exciting racing. We are also 15 minutes from Kings Park Rugby Stadium , Moses Mobida Stadium and Kings Park pool. There is a minimum of 2 nights stay We charge R750,00 per night We charge a once off admin fee of R 250.00 We charge a refundable breakage deposit of R250,00 Which will be refunded after inspection on your departure.
AREA INFORMATION

Ansteys has recently been awarded with the coveted international ‘ blue flag ‘ status. This is truly a great achievement. Lobelia Cottage Directions
1) Traveling from Johannesburg as you go through the Marianhill toll follow the signs to Durban Int Airport. Take the Edwin Swales off ramp into Edwin Swales Drive. At the robot at the bottom of the glide off turn left. Your will pass the Albert Luthuli hospital on the right. Cross over this robot. Southway Mall will be on your right pass this and the next intersection will be South Coast Road. Cross over this intersection. 2) Traveling on your will find Makro on your right and The Seafood Hall, further down you will cross the robot leading to the Durban fresh produce market and the Mattress King on your right. Cross over this robot and will find that the road forks left and right. Bear off to the left into Bluff Road. Cross over the robot at Bluff Pawnbrokers and the KFC then five roads on is Lobelia Road. We are no 27. Please use the lower driveway where you will see the cottage. 3) 1) Traveling from the King Shaka International Airport as you exit turn left and then about 3 km turn right onto the N2 [ toll is R4], and follow the signs to the south coast. The drive should be about 30 minutes. Travel past Durban and the Pietermaritzburg interchange. The next glide off will be for the Bluff [ Solomon Mhalangu drive] ANC changed all the names what a pain.Take the Edwin Swales Drive [ Solomon Mhalangu drive] off Ramp, keep to the left and turn left at the robot.. You will pass the Albert Luthuli Hospital on your left, go over these robots and past the robots at the southway Mall. The next big intersection is South Coast Road. It is a big 3 lane road and the robot here is 4 phase. Cross over this robot and go under the M4 bridge above. Traveling on your will find Makro on your right and The Seafood Hall, further down you will cross another robot with to the Durban fresh produce market and the Mattress King on your right. Cross over this robot and will find that the road forks left and right. Bear off to the left into Bluff Road.
