Kagga Kamma Private Game Reserve is located in an untouched wilderness area south of the magnificent Cederberg mountains, three hours from Cape Town near Ceres. The reserve is well known for its scenic beauty and dramatic rock formations and has a rich cultural heritage with hundreds of Bushman/San rock paintings of up to 6000 years old. On guided excursions guests can learn more about these paintings as well as the various species of plants and animals that inhabit this arid area, scan the crisp clear night skies through our powerful telescope and enjoy sundowners with spectacular views from the Ceres-Karoo escarpment with it’s 700m drop. Guided quad bike safaris take you to areas of the reserve not otherwise accessible while enjoying the fun and excitement of riding your own bike. Relax along the swimming pool, get a massage or other treatment at our Health & Beauty salon, go adventurous on a hiking trail or spend the night in luxury under the stars at our open-air room. Accommodation is nestled between sandstone formations and resembles bushman “caves” and rondavels, all with air-conditioners, a private terrace, twin or king-size beds and en-suite bathrooms. In the open-air boma guests can enjoy sumptuous South African cuisine, including venison dishes, and an excellent selection of local wines. Air-conditioned conference facilities available for up to 70 delegates.
