Welcome to Hillston Farm! We invite you to experience true escape at Hillston Farm, a place of quiet beauty and glorious views. Experience genuine, warm Karoo hospitality with a difference. Hillston Farm is an AA Highly Recommended Karoo Farm providing accommodation in a quaint ironstone cottage, built in the late 1800’s or in our remote country house. Meals are served in the farmhouse dining room or al fresco in the expansive garden. You can also do your own cooking in your fully equipped kitchen or enjoy a braai in the lapa or outside. Hillston also offers catering for weddings, conferences, special events and tour groups. The kitchen caters for up to 120 people. Contact us for rates and menus. You can also take home some Karoo cooking secrets: we offer hands on Karoo cooking classes or demonstrations by our very own Cordon Bleu trained chef. You can enjoy an historical tour of the Boer War blockhouse (now a braai lapa) and barracks which have been converted into a shearing shed. Explore the river in search of fossils or the koppies for bushman etchings. Hillston Farm is the perfect place to count shooting stars. Come see the rings around Saturn with our telescope. We also have more than a hundred birds to tick off your list, including the rare blue korhaan, and scenery to inspire any photographer or painter. So come… awaken at daybreak to witness a spectacular Karoo sunrise and experience the farm coming to life, or sleep in and catch up on some rest you have only been able to dream about…
