AREA INFORMATION
The district of Fourways is the fastest-developing commercial and residential hub in the far north of Sandton, Johannesburg, South Africa. The main access routes to Fourways are off the N1 at William Nicol Road, or alternatively along Witkoppen or the R511. It is located mostly in Region 3. It is roughly as far as one can go in the city before metropolitan Johannesburg's dissolves to rolling hills, gamefarms and the capital Pretoria 55 kilometres to the Northeast. Hartebeespoort Dam and the Magaliesburg Mountains lie half an hour to the North. It bordered by Bryanston to the East and South and Randburg to the West. Central Fourways comprises the entertainment district. These centres are Design Quarter, just north of Magaliessig, Fourways Mall north of Greater Fourways, Montecasino to the east of Greater Fourways, Fourways Crossing just east of Fourways Mall and the newest development, Cedar Square to the north-west of Fourways Mall. It must be mentioned that Broadacres and Lonehill are served by their own smaller shopping centres. These centres are chic, and are frequented by stay-at-home moms, Broadacres being the particular favourite because of the large park-like grounds it encloses, making it a safe and enjoyable haven for children.
Fourways Gardens Guest Estate Directions
Coming out of the OR Thambo Airport complex, follow the signs to Johannesburg. Start initially in the right hand lane. Soon you will be on the R24 highway. This road then flies over and joins the N12. (You do not take any turnoff - just go with the flow.) On the N12, get into the second lane from the right. The road splits-keep right. Immediately after the split, the off –ramp to Pretoria is on your left. The road narrows to one lane and you stay left. That takes you around and down onto the N3. You are now heading north. Stay on this road and ignore any turnoffs to Johannesburg or Pretoria. (The signs tell you that you are heading for Bloemfontein and Roodeport - that is what you want.) The N3 swings around from north to west and changes its name to the N1 (also known as the Concrete Highway), but you will not have turned off anywhere. You will still be on the same road, just a different name. You will go past a turnoff to Rivonia. Ignore that. Take the next off ramp, about 7 km further, to William Nicol. Turn right over the highway traveling in a northerly direction. Pass the Monte Casino (Tsogo Sun) on the right. Pass the Fourways Shopping Complex on the left and Mc Donald’s on the right. Turn left into Uranium Road at traffic lights (at Leaping Frog Shopping Centre on the right) At the traffic lights at the BP garage, turn right into Bush Will Road. Go straight over the roundabout and down the road until you get to a T-junction. In front of you is a complex called “San Raphael”, turn right. We are number 27 on the left, next door to San Raphael.
