Die Rots Guesthouse is tucked away in the scenic Schoemanskloof(lowrisk malaria area) approximate 40 kilometers from Nelspruit on a farm.Enjoy beautiful mountain views as wel as abundant birdlife from the deck of the thatched house. Sightings might include a Purple Crested Loerie, Paradise Flycatcher, or you can expect to hear some owls at night. Small game on the farm include Duiker,Bushbuck, Reedbuck,Bushpigs, Genet, Jackal or you might even see our roaming Hippo's Five luxury en-suite(bath and shower) rooms each with their own private entrance from the deck. 2 Double and 3 Twin bedded rooms are available. Tea and coffee making facilities are available in each room. We serve a hearty farm breakfast in the dining room or on the deck.Delicious homecooked South African dinners are available by prior arrangement. AREA INFORMATION
Situated in Schoemanskloof, approximate 800 meters above the sealevel with a beautiful climate.Not as hot as the aerea's further east and not as cold as as the areas further west.On a non working farm surrounded by citrus and nut and avocadofarms.In springtime the wonderful scent of the orangeblossom fills the air.Road conditions are excellent and we are approximate 500meters from the main road N4.
Die Rots Guesthouse Directions
From Johannesburg or Pretoria get to the N4 and follow the road to Witbank. Belfast and Machadodorp. Just after the Machadotollgate take the turn off to "Nelspruit via Schoemanskloof" We are approximate 52 kilometers from this turn off. Pointers along the way are De Beersnek,Patatanek Pass,Schoemanskloof winkel, Joubert and Sons Citrus Packhouse. Once you are here, we are about 2 kilometers from their fruit stall, on your left an ordinary farmgate with a sign "Die Rots" written on a large piece if slate on gumpoles. Follow the farmroad to the house.
