Graaff-Reinet is the 4th oldest town in South Africa & boasts with over 220 national monuments. A must see is the Reinet House & the Drostdy Hotel. The Valley of Desolation is amazing for sunset & is situated in the Camdeboo National Park - South Africa 22nd National Park. Graaff-Reinet is famous for 2 drinks - the Withond - distilled @ the Reinet House & AGAVA tequila - made at the factory 5km outside of Graaff-Reinet (they are open for tours & of course tastings!) Nieu-Bethesda is less than a hours drive away & a visit to the Owl House is a must, also enjoy tasting locally brewed beer & goat's cheese at the 2 Goats Deli. Directions to Camdeboo Cottages, Graaff-Reinet If travelling the North (Johannesburg or Bloemfontein), upon entering Graaff-Reinet proceed down Market Street, until you reach the T-junction at Uquahart House. Turn right in Somerset Street, continue straight until you reach the four-way stop. Turn left in to Church Street. Then turn right at the first street on the right, Parliament Street. Parliament Street is situated between the Drostdy Hotel and Post Office. Camdeboo Cottages is situated on your right at 16 Parliament Street. If travelling from the South (Cape Town or Port Elizabeth), upon entering Graaff-Reinet, proceed straight up Church Street towards the Dutch Reformed Church. Turn left at the first street past the the Drostdy Hotel, Parliament Street. Camdeboo Cottages is situated on your right at 16 Parliament Street.
