Bushwillow Lodge is an upmarket, fully serviced bush lodge, situated near Hluhluwe in Kuleni Game Park: 170 hectares of indigenous sand forest. The ideal destination to explore and enjoy the Elephant Coast region of KwaZulu Natal, whether you are looking for beach or bush, both are near at hand. Bushwillow Lodge is a 3-hour drive North from the bustling city of Durban on the east coast of South Africa. Either cater for yourself in the lodge's fully equipped kitchen (perfect for small groups), or let us spoil you with lazy breakfasts and home cooked evening meals. Enjoy walks on the self-guided trails and experience the fascination of the smaller fauna and the likely encounters with zebra, giraffe, wildebeest, impala, kudu and nyala. Or, just relax at the lodge in peaceful surroundings and watch the game come to Bushwillow’s own small waterhole. The abundance of bird life, the variety of trees and other flora makes for a great bush experience but with the luxury and comforts of a 4-star graded lodge establishment. The main central lodge facility comprises an open plan, fully equipped stylish kitchen. The spacious and tastefully decorated lounge and dining area with foldaway glass doors, opens out onto the large deck area where you can cool off in the pool or lie on the sun loungers soaking in the warm African sunlight. In the evening, relax and unwind. Enjoy a sunset and the sounds of the evening in the bush on the expansive lodge decking. Situated on either side of the main central lodge are the beautifully appointed bedroom units which are just a short walk away across wooden walkways, which also provide a convenient platform from which to view bird life and small game that may venture past. All bedroom units are air-conditioned. Bedroom Units TAMBOTIE CHALET Tambotie has a king-sized, extra length bed and with its floor to ceiling sliding windows and doors you will feel as if you are sleeping outside. The en-suite bathroom is spacious with hand made twin basins set in a beautiful and original, solid wood vanity. The frameless shower and free-standing cast iron bath makes for a tasteful mixture of old and new. Relax in a candlelit bath as you soak up the peace and tranquility whilst looking out onto the bushveld. Your own small private deck area allows you to sit outdoors and enjoy an early morning cup of tea or a quiet evening sundowner. MARULA CHALET Marula comprises two bedrooms separated by a small lounge area. Ideal for family groups. Beds can be made up as either twin or king-size. The style of the rooms and the en-suite bathrooms otherwise offer the same experience as Tambotie. The larger deck area on this unit also provides an ideal place for privacy and game spotting.

Bushwillow Lodge is ideally situated, allowing for both a bush and beach experience. On your doorstep, find the world-renowned Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park, known for its Big Five. Take a game drive or self-drive to the park. Day trips to other important game parks in the area are also possible. Enjoy excursions to Sodwana Bay, Cape Vidal, False Bay to discover coral reefs, sandy beaches, coastal dunes, mangrove swamps, ancient sand forest and magnificent lakes; all a part of The Greater St Lucia (Isimangaliso) Wetland Park, the most important estuarine wetland system in Africa, which is a recently declared World Heritage Site. For the more adventurous, enjoy canoeing, horse-riding, diving trips in the area. Or, for those who wish to pamper themselves, there is a nearby spa where you can enjoy a wonderful spa treatment.

GPS Coordinates: -27.905172 32.355482 From the South: Durban or Richards Bay • From Durban City Centre, find your way on to the N2 and travel North. • From King Shaka International Airport there are signs directing you to the N2. Be sure to exit to the North towards Ballito, not towards Durban. • Continue travelling on the N2 until you reach the Hluhluwe/Sodwana Bay (R22) off ramp. (Look out for the Bushlands off ramp – it is the one after this.) • Proceed to the town of Hluhluwe and follow the directions below. From the North: Johannesburg, Swaziland or Kruger • There are several routes from Johannesburg and it is wise to check which route to use since there are often road works on these roads, which can slow you down considerably. Aim for the N2 and travel South towards Mkuze. • If you are travelling from Kruger via Swaziland, then travel to the Lavumisa/Golela border post. After approx. 5km you will reach the N2. Turn left and travel South • Continue travelling on the N2 until you reach the Hluhluwe/Sodwana Bay (R22) off ramp. (Look out for the Phinda off ramp – it is the one after this.) • Proceed to the town of Hluhluwe and follow the directions below. From the North East: Kosi Bay or Sodwana Bay • Travel South West on the R22 towards Hluhluwe town. • Pass Amorello Game Lodge on your right. • Approx 2km after Amorello Game Lodge will be the sign for Kuleni Game Park. • Turn right along the small dirt road that runs alongside some pineapple fields until you reach the Kuleni gate. • On reaching the gate, the gate guard will ask you to sign an Indemnity Form and he will then direct you to Bushwillow Detailed directions from the N2 off ramp through Hluhluwe town to Bushwillow • Travel to Hluhluwe Town • Follow the main road through the town following the signs to Sodwana Bay (R22) • Turn left at the bottom (4th) traffic circle, and keep following the signs to Sodwana Bay (R22) • Travel approx 1km, passing Supa Quick Tyre Centre and Build It on your right • Turn right, crossing the railway line onto the Sodwana Bay road (R22) and travel 16km along this road • You will pass Zulu Croc and Badenhorst Boerdery signs just a few km’s before you see the Kuleni Game Park sign • Turn left at this sign and drive down the small dirt road that runs alongside some pineapple fields until you reach he Kuleni gate • On reaching the gate, the gate guard will ask you to sign an Indemnity Form and he will then direct you to Bushwillow
