Babbling Brook is situated just 5 minutes from the centre of Pietermaritzburg and 2 minutes from the lovely National Botanic Gardens. We are ideally situated an hour's drive from Durban and an hour and a half from the beautiful Drakensberg mountain range through the famous Midlands Meander. We offer three tastfully decorated rooms each with their own entrance and covered parking,all en-suite. Two of the rooms are are set in park like surroundings at the bottom of the garden which allows for privacy yet remains homely. These two rooms also offer a self-catering option as both are fully equipped with fridges,hotplate, microwave, iron etc plus air-conditioning and DSTV Facilities include a pub and library for relaxation plus a swimming pool for those hot summer days.

We are within 10 minutes of The Royal Show Grounds, Art in the Park, Cars in the Park, Hospitals and the start of the Comrades Marathon and Duzi Canoe Race. The Midlands Meander is about 30 minutes away. There are a number of good restuarants within close proximity and most of the private schools are not too far away.

A) From Johannesburg take the Chatterton/City off ramp then glide off to the right over the freeway, which will take you into Chatterton Road. Go through the roundabout and follow the directions below. B) From Durban take the Sanctury/Armitage Road off ramp and keep going to your left through one set of traffic lights then glide off to the left at the roundabout into Chatterton Road and follow the directions below. Go through the first traffic light and turn right at the next one into Victoria Road. Follow Victoria Road (which becomes Winston Road) until you get to a T-Junction traffic light intersection and turn right into Mayors Walk. Continue along Mayors Walk through one set of traffic lights at the National Botanic Gardens to the 2nd road to the left which is Stott Road and Bellevue Road is the 2nd road to the right off Stott Road.
