Fly-Fishing Anford Country House and Restaurant is situated in the Fly-Fishing Capital of South Africa and has eight good sized dams which is widely spread over two properties. The dams are well managed and stocked regularly. Catch and Release is encouraged but residents are allowed to keep fish at a price per kilogram. The Brown and Golden trout is catch and release only. Anford House is situated next to a small pine forest which houses four of the dams.The other four are situated on the Fins Estate which is a 500m drive from Anford. Birds Anford has over a hundred and fifty bird species on its properties for the bird lovers to enjoy. Properties and Accommodation There are two properties namely; Anford Country House and Fins Estate. The properties are approximately 500m from each other and connected by a well maintained dirt road. The road leading from the N4 to Anford House is also well maintained and there is no need for 4x4 driving. Anford has five standard rooms and two suites which are situated next to the Reception and Restaurant. All the rooms have an en suite bathroom with a claw bathtub as well as a shower. Towels and Linen are provided. The rooms are serviced daily. There are radios as well as tea and coffee trays, but no television sets in the rooms. Electrical Blankets and Wall heaters are in the rooms for those cold nights. Communal Television with DSTV is available in the Bar area. Rates include the following: Bed and Breakfast, Dinner, Bed and Breakfast, or Full Board (lunch included) There are two cottages available for those of you who prefer self-catering. One is on the Anford property and the other on the Fins Estate property. Both can accommodate up to six people and a minimum of four people per night. Restaurant Breakfast and Lunch is an ala carte menu. Dinner is a set menu with three courses and two choices from each course. Guests with special dietary requests are accommodated with no problem. We welcome any special requests for Dinner.

Anford Country House is situated between Machadodorp and Belfast, just of the N4. We are approximately 40km from Dullstroom which is a popular tourist town and surrounded by various fly-fishing venues. Nelspruit is an hours drive from us and the nearest Kruger gate is approximately 2 hours drive from us. We are close to the Berg-en-Dal monument which was erected as memorial to the fight between the English and the Afrikaners of the same name.

Drive towards Nelspruit on the N4. Pass Belfast and drive on for approximately 14km until you come to our sign on your left hand side. Drive slowly for another 30m and turn of at the next sign. Drive over the Dam wall and follow the road until you come to a Cape Dutch Styled house on your left. Alternatively: You can follow the N4 for approximately 17km past Belfast. You will see a turn off to Kloppenheim and Fins Estate on your left. Turn in and follow the road for approximately 1km until you see our entrance on your left.
