Once the farm Hohewarte served as a police- and poststation for the German 'Schutztruppe'. The farm stretches over native African thorn bush savanna, an area of approx. 10 000 hectares right at the foothills of the 2300m high Mount Bismarck. Here alongside cattle farming and our multifarious flora and fauna we invite you to this natural beauty to explore and enjoy yourself amidst nature. We do offer you the piecefulness of a small guesthouse where you can relax at the refreshing swimming pool, enjoy game and sundowner drives amoungst nature scenery. Walking trails, horse riding, 4 x 4 trails are being offered for activities during the day. Historic places are interesting aims for exploration. Bird- and game watching takes you away from day-to-day routine and a refreshing drink during sundown recreates heart and soul.
Hohewarte Guest Farm Directions
Follow B6 from Hosea Kutako Int. Airport towards Windhoek. Turn off onto C23, Direction of Dordabis. After 17km tarred road you will see the Hohewarte Guest Farm Sign. Turn off left and after 700m you have reached the Guest House.
